Because They Are Your Eyes

Implantable (Contact) Lenses

What are Implantable Contact Lenses?

Implantable Contact Lenses (ICL) are lenses made of collamer material which can be placed inside the eye to treat moderate to high levels of nearsightedness.  This exciting  technology is unlike “Laser” refractive surgery in that the Visian ICL does not require cutting or removing tissue from the natural eye.  In fact, the cornea retains its natural structural stability without thinning or flattening the cornea.  With the Visian ICL lens, you indefinitely retain your option to make future choices about your vision because it is removable and replaceable.

Which doctors perform the ICL surgery?

Dr. Thomas Tilton is board certified in ophthalmology and performs this surgery.  He has the honor of being among the first surgeons in the United States trained to perform this procedure.

How can I find out whether I am a candidate for ICL surgery?

You can call 1-800-243-2587 to schedule a free consultation.  You may ask to speak with Cherylnn.

Is ICL surgery covered by my insurance?

In general, ICL surgery is not a procedure covered by insurance.  We urge you to contact your insurance company to determine your benefits.  When calling, ask specifically whether Implantable Contact/Collamer Lenses are covered.  We would be happy to pre-certify and file your insurance for you once your surgery is scheduled.  Any amount not covered will be due in full prior to your surgery.

What payment options are available?

We accept your personal check, cashier’s check, cash, or any of the following major credit cards:  VISA, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.  In addition, 18 months, no interest financing is available.
