Implantable (Contact) Lenses
What are Implantable Contact Lenses?
Implantable Contact Lenses (ICL) are lenses made of collamer material which
can be placed inside the eye to treat moderate to high levels of nearsightedness. This
exciting technology is unlike “Laser” refractive surgery
in that the Visian ICL does not require cutting or removing tissue from the
natural eye. In fact, the cornea retains its natural structural stability
without thinning or flattening the cornea. With the Visian ICL lens,
you indefinitely retain your option to make future choices about your vision
because it is removable and replaceable.
Which doctors perform the ICL surgery?
Dr. Thomas Tilton is board certified in ophthalmology and performs this surgery. He
has the honor of being among the first surgeons in the United States trained

Is ICL surgery covered by my insurance?
