Alan Chow

Pediatric & General Ophthalmology

Dr. Chow is both a general ophthalmologist and specialist in eye misalignments (strabismus) for children and adults.  He has restored vision to many children and corrected thousands of eye deviations with medical therapy and/or surgery in 26 years of practice.  He has been with the Hauser-Ross Eye Institute since 2006.

Dr. Chow is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Rush University Medical College and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Association of Pediatrics and Strabismus, and the American Society of Retinal Specialists.  In 2010, he was inducted into the prestigious American Ophthalmology Society by his peers.  Dr. Chow received board certification with honors from the American Board of Ophthalmology, ranked 1st nationally, and is a reviewer for multiple journals.  He is an author of numerous scientific and medical articles.
