Hearing Evaluations

A diagnostic hearing evaluation is the first step in understanding the specifics of your individual hearing needs. The evaluation consists of a variety of tests that require the patient to respond to frequency-specific auditory stimuli and speech. Diagnostic hearing evaluations not only provide information about your ear-specific hearing sensitivity but will provide important information in order to help determine the best course of action for treatment.

Some types of hearing loss can be treated medically or surgically, so it is necessary to rule out those losses before hearing aids are considered. We recommend that all patients have their hearing sensitivity evaluated by a licensed Audiologist on an annual basis.
